Some wooden toy camera concepts I’m working on for Egg+Yolk. The body has a magnet in the lens mount so that the lenses can be swapped - I’ve had these sitting around for a while, I hope to finally get some done soon though :)
I’ve just finished working on another Shou Stool – The photos are from the first one we made (for the Melbourne Fringe Furniture Festival last year).
The Shou Stools are made from recycled Douglas fir (Oregon) that has had a burnt and brushed finish, the idea for which came from the Japanese shou-sugi-ban (焼杉板) method of burning the surface of siding boards. The idea is to have burnt and unburnt stools and a chequered combination piece that could be used as a chessboard.
Great carvings by fellow Aussie Ricky Swallow.

These look like a lot of fun, the wooden blocks have magnets in them - wish I’d thought of that - also they are planting trees and helping children in Honduras, they also have a section on their site about accountability - it’s really nice to see a business doing this kind of stuff - you can find out more at Tegu.
Beautiful building blocks by Tonouchi Tetsuo 登内徹夫 I really like the muted colours and the attention to detail - also the packaging is great.
